SK27 Hauz Khas is a 20,000 square foot flagship gym in Delhi for Salman Khan’s prestigious fitness brand, and the recipient of the IBA Award for Best Gym in Delhi. Conceived as a space that redefines the conventional gym experience, the design moves away from dark, high-intensity palettes to create an environment that feels calm, grounding, and deeply personal.
Drawing from the client’s affinity for pink, the space is anchored by a muted, muddy pink ceiling that softens the volume and brings balance—neither overtly feminine nor masculine. Paired with lime-washed walls and a rustic material language, the gym unfolds as a tranquil retreat where movement, focus, and mindfulness take precedence.

The design philosophy centres on creating spaces that invite you to stay—spaces that feel like dedicated moments of self-care rather than routine workouts. This approach is most evident in the yoga studio, crowned by a generous skylight and layered with flowing fabric that filters daylight to create a gentle play of light and shadow. Inspired by traditional Indian fabric awnings once used in markets and public spaces, this element adds warmth, nostalgia, and texture while reinforcing the rustic narrative.
Thoughtfully composed and sensory in nature, SK27 Hauz Khas becomes more than a gym—it transforms into a sanctuary for the body, mind, and soul.
